Rivers of the world!

Here we are researching the great rivers of the world and making posters about them!

Solids and liquids!

Last week we asked the question: if it can pour does that always mean it is a liquid?  We had great fun finding out!

Right Angle Hunt!

Happy New Year to all! It's been great welcoming the children back from their holidays. A few yawns have been seen amongst the year group, but I'm sure these will disappear very shortly. In Maths we have begun this term by learning all about shape and geometry. As teachers we were very pleased with how much the children knew about shape from year 3 which has been really promising. Recently, the children were introduced to angles, namely right angles, and spent time searching around the school for right angles that appear naturally in the world. They did a terrific job and were thoroughly engaged! Check out the photos!

Money money money!

We have had an amazing week this week learning all about saving, budgeting and interest that we might get based on how much money we put in!

Today, we were lucky enough that some of our dads came in to class, to help us with a budget problem! We had to plan a DREAM LUXURY holiday to India! We had a budget of £5000 and we had to plan the holiday for our family, so everyone's prices were different! We had the best morning ever!
